Shines Light On Client-Centricity & Resilience
Diversified South African manufacturing specialist, Fabrinox, celebrated its 30th anniversary in September, an occasion that has seen the appointment of a new Managing Director. Wessel van Zyl relishes the opportunity of joining and helping to lead and inspire an established team at the world-class company.
Having started in July, Wessel took on responsibilities formerly shouldered by company founder Andre Visser, who remains Group CEO and Business Development Manager.
“It is a thrilling prospect to step into a company as successful as Fabrinox that has been shaped into an international player over three decades. This is an opportunity I will definitely relish,” he says.
“Fabrinox has a dynamic management team that is already geared for growth and efficiency. I have stepped in to enhance that focus.”
As a multidisciplinary professional with degrees in law and business, Wessel brings a wealth of expertise and a distinguished track record in leadership, manufacturing, and business development, garnered at a range of leading enterprises.
During his previous tenure, he was part of the executive management team at the TWK Group as well as the Managing Director at BedRock (Pty) Ltd.
Notably, Wessel’s commitment to personal and professional growth has guided him throughout his career. His passion for thorough analysis, conceptual clarity, and well-thought-out solutions further enhances his ability to lead and drive impactful change.
With a relentless focus on fostering a deep understanding of an organisation’s value proposition and its competitive space, Wessel envisions empowering the business to continue delivering superior quality and performance. His leadership, coupled with the ability to mobilise human and material resources effectively, makes him an ideal fit for the role of Managing Director at Fabrinox.
“Essential to our mission is to remain client-centric; to understand our clients’ situations, perceptions and expectations,” he says. “We can be grateful that resilience has been a presiding characteristic of the business, as resilience has become very important for manufacturers in today’s unpredictable and dynamic business environment”.
